Elisabetta Tola

Elisabetta Tola has a PhD in Microbiology and a Master in Science Communication at SISSA, Trieste. She is a lecturer in science communication, multimedia, radio production and, recently, in data journalism in different journalism schools and courses. She is co-founder of the science communication agency Formicablu, in Bologna and Roma, where she coordinates projects involving the exploration of cross-media tools in order to favour communication between scientists, diverse interest groups and society at large. She has been one of the presenters of the daily science programme Radio3Scienza on RAI Radio 3 since 2005. She is currently part of the team involved in the production of the weekly science programme PiGreco Party, on air and in podcast since 2004 on Radio Città del Capo, Bologna. She is also a freelance science writer for IL - Il Sole 24 Ore, linkiesta, and other science mags and websites, and the italian publisher Zanichelli. During 2010, she has been working on seismic risk prevention, producing the docu-fiction Non chiamarmi terremoto. Currently, she is involved in data journalism projects, such as iData supported by the Ahref foundation and datajournalism.it, and on the communication of agro-biodiversity.
